According to Naughty Dog’s Anthony Newman, The Last of Us 2 on PS4 will redefine triple-A, as many hope.
The Last of Us 2 will redefine triple-A in 2020, at least according to Anthony Newman of Naughty Dog, one of the game’s directors. Newman did not elaborate further on his claim, so we don’t know in what sense this redefinition will take place.
In reality, it is not difficult to guess the meaning of the sentence having seen some of the materials of The Last of Us 2 released so far, which tell us about a game capable of raising the bar of every productive aspect of the gaming medium, especially from the point from a technical point of view. After all, the game mechanics are all to be verified, so it is better to wait until 29 May 2020, the day of publication of The Last of Us 2, to understand if Newman is right or not.
However, Newman’s claim has garnered a lot of acclaim in the PlayStation community, which The Trek of Us was already looking forward to with great trepidation. Probably for many, it is the most anticipated game of the entire generation, so some reactions are not surprising.
Just recently new information has come out about The Last of Us 2. For example, we know of the existence of a new Ellie figurine for collectors and we also know that Sony will bring a playable demo to PAX East 2020.
