The next film dedicated to the Supreme Warlock, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, is undergoing some delays mainly due to the departure of director Scott Derrickson and the search for his replacement, but new confirmations may have arrived.

Last week, a first synopsis of the film was released that read: ” After the Avengers: Endgame events, Dr. Stephen Strange continues his research on the Time Gem. But an old friend who has become an enemy will try to block his plans and causes Strange to release an unspeakable evil. “This synopsis was also later reported by Production Weekly, a site that notoriously informs about the progress of film productions, especially as regards the start of filming a film. This would seem to somehow confirm the reliability of this synopsis, with the site reporting some more details.

These changes essentially concern the cast: although the involvement of Benedict Cumberbatch, Benedict Wong, and Elizabeth Olsen, all returning in their roles, is certain, so far there has been no mention of a return by Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rachel McAdams; however, in the list of actors of the film published by Production Weekly their names appear in the group, although this fact does not make it an official confirmation of their actual presence. We know that the character of Baron Mordo should return sooner or later to challenge what is now his enemy, Doctor Strange precisely, especially from what we learned from the end of the previous film and from the next scene after the credits, where the character went to the search/hunt for all the sorcerers of the earth in an attempt to save the world precisely from these figures.

Apparently the casting of the film is still underway and Marvel is looking for two villains: a woman between 30 and 40 years old from the unspecified ethnic group and a man of the same age of African American ethnicity.

Apart from Villain, Marvel also has to deal with the abandonment of director Scott Derrickson. Furthermore, on the genre of the film, Kevin Feige corrected the shotDoctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will not be a real horror. The film despite this inconvenience still has the release date set for May 7, 2021.
