The launch of the dark theme of Whatsapp is near, as some rumors leaked in the past hours report that the development would have ended. However, the messaging application’s engineers are already looking further and they would be bringing another feature requested by users to the app: animated Stickers.
As always, the indiscretion was published by the colleagues of WABetaInfo, according to which Whatsapp is working on this function in the latest beta versions made available to those who participate in the program on Android. This suggests a development still in the embryonic stages and therefore a distribution to the distant public.
The first references had been discovered six months ago by the popular site, but have not been followed up. However, a video is also circulating on the web showing how to download and use animated stickers within the application. WABetaInfo reports that in order to use them, users will only have to download from the internal Whatsapp store and then select them from the appropriate button on the right of the message entry field.
Furthermore, according to what reported, Whatsapp should follow the same line of Telegram to allow users to customize the Stickers.
At the moment, no indications have emerged regarding the launch date.
Another pleasant news for users, after that of last week in which we told Facebook’s decision not to bring advertisements on Whatsapp.
